When I issued a scent memory challenge to patrons at the 2016 Renaissance Faire the resounding reply was, "Challenge Accepted!" What would Sleepy Hollow smell like? For fantasy customers this was almost too easy. Fall. Not a pumpkin spice fall. Noooooo. The smell of actual Fall! Leaves as you rake them. A little green grass stuck in the tines of your rake. Smoke from the burning brush pile. And since it is Sleepy Hollow, after all, a little Graveyard Dirt. It had to be colored a light golden, raw pumpkin flesh. The reveal was love at first sniff.
