Macabre was one of the first custom fragrance blends in my Renaissance Faire years. From the first day we loved the mysterious Danse Macabre. When the Danse approached the village, legend tells us it smelled of smoke with a chill in the air. My protegee perfumer and I developed our interpretation using essences of pipe smoke, tobacco and Willamette Valley peppermint essential oil.
The resulting fragrance was an instant hit, with Macabre remaining in the top 5 fragrances in all products through today. It's unexpected, haunting and unique.
